What to Expect

The Cleveland Museum of Art’s (CMA) top priority is the safety of its visitors, volunteers, and staff.

The museum and museum store are open, along with the café for grab-and-go options. Free general admission ticket required (availability is limited); to guarantee entrance to the CMA, please book your ticket in advance by calling 216-421-7350 or by clicking here. There will be no on-site programs at this time. However, virtual programs will be offered. The CMA is monitoring the coronavirus situation regularly and will modify its protocols and policies as new information from state and local officials and the CDC becomes available.

Ticket Information

A limited number of free, timed tickets are available. Capacity has been limited for safety, and the museum highly recommends reserving tickets in advance.

Tickets will be available in 15-minute intervals. The last ticket reservation for the day is at 4:00 p.m. There are no new entries into the museum after 4:30 p.m.

Free timed tickets will be limited to eight per visitor.

Visitors will receive a pre-visit email with the museum’s new guidelines, a detailed visitor FAQ sheet, and a link to the ArtLens App, which includes a digital map and wayfinding feature, to enhance their experience. Visitors must arrive at—not before—the time specified on their ticket to maintain safety limits.

Connect Online

The CMA will continue to lead in the virtual realm by maintaining production of digital assets and ways in which at-home visitors can connect with the CMA while social-distancing protocols remain in place. Home Is Where the Art Is offers an abundance of online resources and activities to access the museum’s collections and includes virtual events and programs.
