Still-Life Painting Eight Tuesdays, January 14–March 3, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Using oil or acrylic, learn the fundamentals of painting, from organizing a palette and blending, color mixing, brushwork, and glazing techniques to the elements and principles of design and composition. Workshop Wednesday: Conté Pastel Drawing Wednesday, January 22, 6:00–8:30 p.m. Compare European and Asian art techniques in the galleries and interpret Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, using colored conté pastel on sanded paper, and mimic rhythmic Asian brushwork, using graphite. Workshop Wednesday: Drag Queen Life Drawing Wednesday, March 4, 6:00–8:30 p.m. Enjoy a twist on a classic. Practice your drawing muscles with drag queens as your muse. All-Day Workshop: Ikebana Flower Arranging (all skill levels) Saturday, December 7, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Create modern abstract floral designs by using traditional Japanese principles of flower arranging.
