Meet the Curators

The CMA employs 20 curators whose specializations span 6,000 years of art history, representing cultures around the globe. They specialize in everything from paintings, prints, drawings, and photographs, to sculpture in metal, stone, and wood, to decorative objects, textiles, fashion, and time-based media. Curators at the CMA are responsible for studying objects in the collection, curating exhibitions, writing books and articles, speaking at international conferences, recommending new acquisitions for the museum’s collection, and speaking with diverse audiences including all members of the public.
